We are pleased to announce our upcoming concert at the Room at the Square: A Christmas Suite for Classical Guitar and Violin, featuring David Jorgensen and Olga Ivanenko. In their annual Christmas show, David's intricate fingerstyle guitar intertwines beautifully with Olga's soaring violin. They will be performing an exciting lineup of classical pieces as well as traditional Christmas favorites, with some fun surprises. This is certain to be a magical evening. Doors open at 6:30, concert begins at 7:00.
Olga Ivanenko was born in Kyiv, Ukraine and started learning violin when she was 8 years old. She went to the music college in Kyiv and by the age of 17 she graduated with “Young Specialist Degree in Music”. After graduating college, Olga was able to get in into the orchestra in Poland that had been coached by London Symphony Orchestra principles. She studied with different professors from European and Slavic schools. Later on, she moved to the US and began studying at Dixie State University. She was chosen to be one of the participants for “I AM DIXIE” campaign. Olga’s commercial went national wide. She was given a full ride music scholarship and in 2018, Olga won the “Entertainer of the Year” award from DSU. After graduating with “Bachelors in Music” in 2018, Olga was invited to work at the Tuacahn Center of Arts which gave her experience working with musicians and actors from New York. Currently, Olga has been living in Los Angeles where she has been pursuing her performing career.
